I have heard plenty of times that Project A-Ko is a "classic". So I challenged that theory. And I can say, it is almost accurate. The movie does have its weak spots (mostly the long drawn out scenes in space before the big twist in the movie...no, I'm not telling you what it is), but it's still a pretty good film for me.
While no longer in print in America, it can be found pretty easily on Amazon, and if you're a cheapskate like me, it's on YouTube dubbed and subtitled.
Overall Rating: 8/10
Recommended for fans of: Comedy, action, parody
Rated: PG-13 (however a G-rated version for the youngest audiences is available on YouTube by searching "Project A-Ko Just for Kids"; to be honest, the film is pretty tame uncut, other then a few sprinklings of mild language and some violence. It should be fine for kids above the age of, ah, 9 or so.
Until next time, Keroro out!
