Welcome back to The 90's (Anime) Are All That! Today, Keroro gives himself head trauma.
--- Samurai Pizza Cats This show is about cats at a pizza delivery service, and, they, uh, have a fight over who gets to deliver a pizza, and there's a robotic dragon and....AHHHHHHH. This is what anime they showed on TV in 1990? THIS? THIS? ? out of 10 --- Samurai Pizza Cats is available in separate English dubbed and subtitled DVDs from Discotek Media. --- Yeah, I didn't really have high hopes for this, but I do for the next two days! Check back tomorrow for another edition of The 90's (Anime) Are All That! Until next time, Keroro out! Welcome back to The 90's (Anime) Are All That! Today, I'm doing Rurouni Kenshin! Getting right to it!
--- Rurouni Kenshin This anime is about a wanderer/on-the-run murderer named Kenshin, who meets a girl named Kaoru, and she offers to let him stay at her dojo. Lots of crazy things happen from there. I like this show a lot more then the other ones I've done so far, and I had high expectations for it, since, y'know, everyone loves it. And it was on Toonami. I give Rurouni Kenshin an 8 out of 10. --- That's all for today. Check back tomorrow for another edition of The 90's (Anime) Are All That! Until next time, Keroro out! click to enlarge
also check out the spring schedule below Welcome to today's issue of --- okay, okay, not the hammer, I'm sorry I didn't do this yesterday. Now I'm definitely not being forced against my will to do a DOUBLE FEATURE! Yay! Gettin' right to it! --- Trouble Chocolate This series is about a boy named Cacao, who is studying magic. One day he wakes up, without memory of anything, and finds a girl named Hinano in his bed. Turns out she's...a wooden doll too! There's some fighting, and there's a monster for no reason (seriously, when are we going to get an explanation on these monsters? I might need to watch more...), and in the end we find out how Hinano was created. How, you might ask? Well, I'm not telling you, but it does involve chocolate. Trouble Chocolate is fun, but it's also perhaps the most confusing thing I've ever seen come out of Japan, and I just recently finished Serial Experiments Lain... Overall, I give Trouble Chocolate a 6.5 out of 10. --- Currently, Trouble Chocolate is out-of-print in North America, but the old DVDs were released in individual volumes by Viz Media. The series is currently being uploaded (so far up to episode 7) by someone named LyingLum on YouTube. Here's episode 1: Martian Successor Nadesico This show...ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, it's okay. I've mentioned before I really don't like mecha, so I think Tamama would get more enjoyment out of this then me. It's occasionally funny, but then it just goes back to the mecha and then I'm all like ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. So, if you're like me and when you see mecha you go ehhhhhhhhhhhhh---, okay I'll stop now, then maybe this isn't the show for you. If you're really into mecha, sure, watch this. Overall, I give Martian Successor Nadesico a 5 out of 10, but an 8 out of 10 looking through it as if I were a mecha fan. --- Martian Succesor Nadesico is available from Right Stuf Entertainment, and the first two episodes are also available on Nozomi Entertainment's YouTube channel, and the sequel series is also on YouTube from Manga Entertainment (all episodes). I didn't watch that one so I can't tell you the quality of it. Here's episode 1 of the original series: Well, that's all for today. Join us tomorrow when I get this crazy guy to stop breathing over my neck forcing me to write a double feature. I mean, heh heh, nothing.
Until next time, Keroro out! Welcome to the first edition of The 90's (Anime) Are All That! Today, Keroro is doing Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water! Gettin' right to it!
--- What I saw of this episode ("The Boy At The Eiffel Tower"), was uh, there was a boy, at the Eiffel Tower, and he was going to win a prize with this other man, then he saw this girl, then there are are villains and then...okay. This is boring. And it's from 1990, so it looks like garbage. --- Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water is no longer legally available in America, thankfully. The DVDs and VHS have all gone out of print. Overall, I must give Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water a 4.5 out of 10. --- Well, this co No relation to the TeenNick block, The 90's Are All That.
Hello again, Anime Land readers! Keroro is here with a special annoucement! Starting this Sunday, June 23rd, I'm going to be doing a special week of 90's anime! I'm going to watch one episode of various 90's series and give my thoughts on them. What 90's series, you ask? It's a secret... Until next time, Keroro out! Hey everybody! Since we all know and love One Piece i decided to just do episode 40. They go to an island full of fish men that don't really like them so of corse they fight. You have to watch episode 39 first. 10.
Sorry guys! Iwas suposed to do this yesterday. Well i guess we should get onto it. This show is about a stange spikie haired kid who has a ball and chain weapon with a face and a stylish mustache who joins up with other misfits and fights evil. Yaaa most anime shows are about fighting evil, but i guess thats what makes it fun. 9.
